An Addendum to The Tax Code as a Weapon of Government

@Fogdood posed on Tweet a couple of good questions regarding “The Tax Code as a Weapon of Government.”  Basically, they were, what about the millions of private tax attorneys, accountants & corporate staff dedicated to helping people and companies getting around taxes & IRS? This was in response to my comment that the IRS has no value and should be eliminated.  The resulting job losses also elicited a question from Fogdood.  What about the resulting job losses at the IRS?

Let me respond.  First, I stand by my contention that the IRS brings no value to the table and should be eliminated; replaced by the Fair Tax to be sure.  But, eliminated no less.  Most of the current employees of the IRS can be picked up elsewhere within the bloated Federal bureaucracy through attrition and early retirement. This should not be allowed to grow Federal employment, however.  Total Federal employment must fall by at least ten percent per year for four years.  If this causes some pain within the ranks of the Federally employed, welcome to the club.  Just why the hell should you be protected from the effects of reality?

Now, as to the question of what about the millions of private tax attorneys, accountants and corporate staff?  We should keep a flawed system because some will lose their gravy train?  No way!  I know more than a few accountants who favor the Fair Tax, even though their income would fall.  They all believe they can find other work to make up the difference.  Attorneys?  Well, we have too many of them anyway.  Let them find honest work.  If that means they have to leave the law, so be it.

And, do not forget that millions of new jobs will be created as ten to eleven Trillion Dollars return to this country from tax inspired exile overseas!

Let’s serve the people and the country first.

  2. The addendum addresses some questions that may go through others minds about eliminating the current tax system. I agree. The IRS is not a value-added institution but simply serves as a collection agency for the government. In order for the IRS to collect, money must first be generated.

I really would like your opinion about some information I came across recently. It is about the income tax & a former IRS agent named Sherry Peel Jackson. I have posted her YouTube videos on my site and a documentary from Aaron Russo.

Please let me know your thoughts on the post: The IRS (Income Reduction Service) strikes again!

    • Fascinating. I really do not know how to react. One side of me shouts “conspiracy theory” and the other says “right on, totally true.” We have absolutely allowed ourselves to be cowed by an evil government organ called the IRS. But, at the same time, the government cannot function without funds. But, damn it, I have to live with what I make. So why can’t they?

We can ramble on without saying much, and make no difference. But, we can also enact the Fair Tax, Demand Term Limits (for staffers too), Demand the Line Item Veto (one person then held responsible for all spending) and take back the reins of government.

If we do not do this, we deserve all the crap the thieves in Washington send our way. And make no mistake. They are stealing from us in unprecedented amounts. They are stealing our grandchildren’s ability to survive and think about this:

The Chinese, the Indians, the Europeans and others who have loaned us over ten billion dollars, so far, will be repaid with dollars with a worth one one hundredth or thousandth or even millionth of today’s dollar. They are not going to be happy. Some may even be unhappy enough to punish us with war. Thermonuclear war.

We may not survive the anger generated by thieves in our government.

      Just think about this possibility.

WE are responsible for our own destiny. WE are responsible for how our government governs. WE are responsible for how they spend our money. And, we are responsible for who gets away with what.

If WE the PEOPLE stand up and say NO MORE! Those in government have no choice but to do just what we say. But, we have to mean it.
